Overview of your Integrated Stripe Account
Spark uses Stripe to process online payments securely. Be sure to monitor emails from Stripe, as they may contain important updates about your account.
Accessing Your Stripe Account
Once online payments are set up through Stripe:
- Go to Settings in your Spark account.
- Navigate to the Online Payments section.
- Click Go to Stripe to access your Stripe Dashboard.

Using an Existing Stripe Account
- You can use your existing Stripe login credentials to set up online payments in Spark.
- However, enabling online payments in Spark will create a new Stripe account, as each Stripe account can only connect to one platform according to Stripe’s policy.
- After creating the new account, you can use the same login credentials for both Stripe accounts and toggle between them as needed.
Using Your Stripe Account
Key Pages in Your Stripe Dashboard
- Home: View a chart of your total earnings; access overviews of payments, revenue, customers, and failed payments.
- Balances: See the amounts paid to your school, including funds still in transit to your bank.
- Transactions: View a list of all transactions and their status. Quickly send receipts or refunds. Click on transactions to view more details.
- Customers: View details about guardians, students, or other payers making online payments. Click on a customer to view all transactions for that account.
Export Data: Export transaction and customer data as needed using the Export button at the top of these lists.

Managing Payouts through your Stripe Account
Payouts refer to funds that customers have paid through Stripe being transferred to your connected bank account or financial institution. You can manage your payout settings by clicking the gear icon in Stripe and navigating to Settings → Business, then selecting the Bank accounts and currencies tab.
In the Payout schedule section, you can choose how often you'd like payouts to be sent—daily, weekly, monthly, or manually. You also have the option to manually initiate a payout from Stripe at any time.
Note: For a payout to occur, the funds must first be successfully transferred to Stripe from the customer's bank or credit institution. Transfers made via bank accounts (such as ACH) can take several business days to clear. For precise timelines, it's best to contact the customer’s bank directly.

Giving Others Access to Your Stripe Account
You can invite team members to your Stripe account and control their level of access by assigning roles.
To add a team member, enter your Stripe account and use the gear icon to access Settings → Team and Security. Click + Add New Member and follow the steps.
The new team member will receive an email invitation from Stripe. They must accept the invitation, log in to Stripe, and complete identity verification to gain access.

Linking More Than One Spark School to Your Stripe Account
You can link multiple schools to the same Stripe account by using the same email address. In your Stripe Dashboard, you’ll be able to view and manage all linked schools by toggling between them.

Changing Account Information in Stripe
You can update your Stripe account information, including your email, phone number, financial institution, and school name. To make changes, click the gear icon in your Stripe account to access Settings. Then, navigate to the Personal Details or Business section to view and edit your details.

Notifications and Support

Support: Access help by clicking the question mark icon and selecting Support Articles or Support Center.
